SEO and AI search visibility
Search is no longer just ten blue links. The same question is now asked to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Being visible in both is related but separate work.
One honest sentence first
Don’t believe anyone promising “page one in a month”. For competitive head terms, first-page position is won with domain authority, content depth and a link profile. That takes time.
What is achievable in a reasonable timeframe is high-intent long-tail and local search — and those convert better anyway. Someone searching “software company” may be browsing; someone searching “attendance software pricing” is close to buying.
So we always start with measurement: where do you rank today, what is your site blocking technically, and what have competitors actually done?
Scope of work
Technical audit
Crawlability, indexing, page speed, mobile behaviour, duplicate content, broken links, canonicals and redirect chains.
Keywords and intent
Who ranks for what, and what does that page do? A page plan by intent: research and purchase intent do not share a page.
Content architecture
Separating service and product pages, internal linking, topic clusters. Explaining everything on one page loses rankings.
On-page optimisation
Titles and descriptions, heading hierarchy, image alt text, readability and content depth.
Structured data
Organization, Service, Product, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Article markup — the prerequisite for rich results.
Local SEO
Google Business Profile, name-address-phone consistency and local ranking signals.
GEO — generative search
llms.txt, clear entity definitions, quotable FAQ blocks and open access for AI crawlers.
Measurement and reporting
Search Console setup, ranking and click tracking, monthly reports. You see what worked in numbers.
What generative engine optimization (GEO) is, and why now
Generative Engine Optimization — being cited by AI assistants.
- Users now ask an assistant. The answer arrives as one paragraph naming a few brands. If you aren’t named, you don’t exist.
- The rules differ. Assistants favour clear definitions, numeric comparisons and FAQ blocks that answer directly.
- There is a technical layer.
llms.txt, structured data and not blocking AI crawlers. Many sites block them without realising. - Consistency matters. Name, contact details and service definitions must match everywhere; assistants avoid citing contradictory sources.
- Early movers win. Most competitors have done nothing here yet.
Market
SEO service pricing — 2026 monthly ranges
What drives SEO pricing is not “how many keywords” but competition level and content requirements.
| Engagement type | Common monthly range | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Freelance / consultant | ₺2,000 – 15,000 | Sole traders, narrow scope |
| Agency — local / niche terms | ₺8,500 – 20,000 | City-level service businesses |
| Agency — corporate / competitive | ₺20,000 – 50,000 | Larger sites, content production included |
| Agency — high competition / nationwide | ₺50,000 – 80,000 and above | E-commerce, health, finance |
Source: agency price pages published in Türkiye, August 2026. These are not our prices — they are market ranges and do not constitute a quotation. Published Turkish agency prices usually exclude VAT; ask when comparing quotes. ⚠️ At ₺1,000–2,000 per month no real analysis or content production is possible; that tier usually delivers an automated report.
Audit
What a technical SEO audit covers
An audit starts with measurement, not assumption. Every item below is measurable and reported.
Crawlability and indexing
robots.txt, noindex tags, sitemap accuracy, pages that waste crawl budget. An accidentally blocked section is the most common reason for months of invisibility.
Duplicate content
The same content reachable from several URLs (www/https, filters, pagination). Without correct canonicals, Google cannot tell which page to show.
Titles and descriptions
Duplicate or missing tags, length limits, and text truncated in search results.
Heading hierarchy
One H1 per page and a logical H2/H3 sequence. Heading tags used for styling break the structure.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
LCP, INP and CLS measured separately for mobile and desktop. Mobile is usually worse — and it is the one that decides rankings.
Structured data
Organization, Service, Product, FAQ and Breadcrumb markup with error checking. A prerequisite for rich results.
Broken links and redirect chains
Dead internal links and chained redirects waste both user patience and crawl budget.
Multilingual setup
hreflang tags must be reciprocal and correct. One-way hreflang does nothing.
Local
Local SEO: winning city-level searches
For most service businesses the fastest return comes not from organic rankings but from map results. For “near me” and “city + service” queries, the map block appears above classic results.
At its centre sits the Google Business Profile, and it is free. Businesses with a complete profile, correct categories, current photos and a steady flow of reviews come out ahead.
The second factor is NAP consistency: name, address and phone written identically everywhere. Variations reduce confidence in the data.
- Google Business Profile — verified address, correct category, opening hours, photos.
- NAP consistency — identical details on the site, directories and social accounts.
- Reviews — a steady flow of genuine reviews; fake reviews carry heavy risk.
- City/district pages — only for places you genuinely serve, with real content.
- Local structured data — LocalBusiness markup with accurate location details.
Content
Content strategy: which page for which search?
Explaining everything on one page loses rankings. Each search intent needs its own page.
- Research intent (“what is attendance software”) → guide content. It does not sell; it builds trust and attracts links.
- Comparison intent (“best attendance software”) → comparison and selection guides.
- Price research (“… price”, “… how much”) → a transparent pricing page. One of the highest commercial-intent searches.
- Ready to buy (“buy attendance software”) → product/service page with a clear call to action.
- Brand search (“medyajans”) → home and corporate pages.
- Local search (“city + service”) → Business Profile and a local page.
Frequently asked
How long does SEO take?
Technical fixes can show effect within weeks. For long-tail and local search, 2–6 months is a fair expectation. For competitive head terms, think twelve months and beyond. Be sceptical of offers that promise to shorten this.
Do you guarantee first position?
No, and nobody can — Google does not offer rankings as a guaranteeable service. What we can offer is transparent measurement: where we started, what we did, and how many positions moved.
Can SEO work without producing content?
Technical fixes carry you only so far. After that content is required, because every search you want to rank for needs a page that answers it. You can write it or we can — but without it results stay limited.
Is a Google Business Profile necessary?
If you target local customers, yes — it is one of the highest-return steps. Map results can bring customers faster than organic rankings. Profile verification requires a real address.
Our site was penalised. Can it recover?
Usually yes. First we find the cause: purchased links, duplicated content, technical indexing errors or a manual action. The fix depends on the cause and takes time; quick-fix methods typically lead to a second penalty.
Should SEO and ads run together?
At the start, yes. Ads bring traffic while SEO matures, and ad data shows which keywords actually convert, which sharpens the SEO plan. On a tight budget, fixing site speed and technical issues first also improves ad efficiency.
How much is monthly SEO?
Turkish agency prices published in 2026 range from ₺8,500 to ₺80,000 per month, with freelancers at ₺2,000–15,000. The difference comes from competition, keyword count and above all whether content production is included. One question separates them: “how many pieces of content does this include per month?”
Are content and link costs included?
Usually NOT — and this is the largest hidden difference between quotes. Of two identical-looking prices, the one covering content production is in reality far cheaper. We list what is covered item by item.
Do SEO prices include VAT?
Most published agency prices exclude VAT. Add it when planning your monthly budget and clarify which figure a quote shows.
When will I see results?
Technical fixes can show within weeks. Long-tail and local search: 2–6 months. High-competition head terms: twelve months and beyond. Question anyone promising to shorten this — Google does not sell rankings as a service.
Do AI Overviews kill SEO?
They change it rather than end it. When users get the answer directly, clicks fall — so there are now two goals: rank in search and get cited in AI answers. The second needs clear definitions, quotable FAQ blocks, structured data and llms.txt — this site is built to those rules.
