Furniture workshop time and attendance: workshop and fitters on one screen
Cutting, upholstery and finishing in the workshop; a fitting crew outside. The fitter starts the day at the customer’s door without passing the workshop. To bring both places into one timesheet you need a phone and a tablet by the door, not a device.
What makes tracking hard in a furniture workshop?
Small and mid-sized furniture businesses rarely have a separate HR team; the timesheet is kept by the foreman or the owner. Start times in the workshop are clear, but the fitting crew spends the day at customers’ addresses and the answer to “when did you start?” comes over the phone.
When delivery dates tighten, the workshop works evenings too. At month end, who stayed how many extra hours is reckoned from memory, and payday becomes argument day. With no record, neither employer nor employee can settle the argument on the record.
How the system is set up in the workshop and on fitting jobs
QR at the workshop door
The QR code posted in the workshop is tied to that location. Staff scan it with their phone; a photo of the code is useless elsewhere.
Shared tablet by the bench
A craftsman who would rather not carry a phone at the bench picks their name on the tablet at the door and enters a PIN.
Field permission for fitters
Fitters clock in by location from the customer’s address; with field permission the record is not rejected and shows on the map as a field clock-in.
Delivery-week overtime
Evening work starts with the employee’s own request and the manager approves; the statutory uplift shows in lira the moment the request arrives.
Certificate expiry
Health-and-safety training, medical check and machine operator licence trigger a notification 30 days before expiry and on expiry.
Headcount plan
How many people you plan for production and fitting appears on the department screen, with open and surplus positions.
Our demo environment is a furniture workshop
The demo company we built to present the product is a fictional furniture maker: production, fitting and field departments, day and evening shifts, fitters clocking in from customers’ addresses. The names are made up; the timesheet, overtime and leave figures are produced by the product’s own calculations.
In a meeting we open this environment; if you like, you clock in by QR with your own phone and see it appear on the manager’s screen at once. You see how it maps to your workshop on screen rather than in the abstract.
How pricing works for a small workshop
- ₺59 per person per month (in the 1–50 employee tier, excluding VAT). A 12-person workshop pays 12 × ₺59 = ₺708.
- Minimum 5 employees are billed: a 3-person team pays 5 × ₺59 = ₺295.
- Free onboarding; we set up departments and shifts with you.
- 30-day free trial with your own team. No hardware to buy.
When furniture workshops ask
Our fitters start work without passing the workshop; how do they clock in?
By phone with location. The fitting crew is given field permission; a clock-in from the customer’s address is not rejected, is kept separately as a field clock-in and shows on the manager’s map. The workshop team clocks in by QR or the shared tablet; both go to the same timesheet.
Our craftsmen do not want to clock in by phone; is it mandatory?
No. They can pick their name on the shared tablet (kiosk) at the door and clock in and out with a personal PIN. If the company wishes, the tablet also asks for a photo; fingerprints and face recognition are not used.
How do we record evening work in a delivery week?
The employee files an overtime request tied to the shift currently open; you approve or reject it. The request shows the uplift in lira and the option of time off instead; an approval that would exceed the 270-hour annual limit is not accepted.
Can we use it with fewer than five employees?
Yes; billing is based on at least 5 employees. A 3-person team pays 5 × ₺59 = ₺295 (excluding VAT). Department Management is free for every company.
